In a bustling street in Istanbul&#39;s old city, the streets are full of restaurants, bars and shops. This cafe is not big, runs traditional Turkish coffee, and the price is moderate. This special doorway juggling ice cream attracts many tourists.

Three weeks ago I went to this little restaurant for dinner with my wife and daughter. The place was empty which made me doubt the quality of the food as the price was not cheap either. But the owner was friendly and sounded like a real chef so we stayed. Not knowing what we ordered he suggested that the wait was decent which I would expect if the food was prepared fresh. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food as it tasted great, fresh and spicy!

On the edge of the mosque is a good place to have dinner, their sashimi is delicious.

I don&rsquo;t usually write reviews but think I should offset three very negative reviews I just read before dining here. I have an absolutely delicious meal here Ali the skewers, which is a rotating iskender, except with the meat mixed with strong and delicious eggplant and yogurt. I loved it. I also had lentil soup. The boss spoke fluent English (he received many brave tour groups at the last restaurant) and welcomed me like old friends. Recommended.
